The first image that came to mind when creating this piece was the painful reality faced by many in Gaza: the desperate attempts of civilians to identify their loved ones after an airstrike. In many cases, bodies are so disfigured, torn apart by violence, that recognition comes down to the smallest fragment a tooth, a finger, a familiar mark on the skin.
